I think that you would probably be better off with a Quarter Horse than an American Saddlebred just becuase Saddlebreds are light footed and Quarter horses tend to be more sterdy footed. Depending on how tall you are you might consider getting a Welsh Mountain Pony. They were origanally ment for rocky footed terrain.I hope you find your horse soon.
