Just wanted to clarify something,Rocky Mountain Horses are mainly from Kentucky,not the Rocky Mt. as the name implies.They are called that because it is belived that the founding sire came from a family travling through Ky. on the way to Va.from the Rockies.That horse or one of his sons came to be owned by Sam Tuttle who bred them and called them his Rocky Mt. Horses,so the name stuck.
