We have a pony who does a similar thing. Both back legs regularly click and sometimes one sticks. She draggs it behind her and though there seems to be no hock problem she wont bend the hip to bring it under her. all we can do is wait till it clicks again. She is a little stiff all over but has only just started work after a year turned away. She has been down because of the leg. She was riden by a heavy man as a two year old but seems to have no particular stiffness through her back and has no back pain or distress symptoms when riden, saddles or poked.
